Tory Burch Barred Me From Covering A Philly Style Event

Fashion Designer Tory Burch was on the cover of Philly Style this month. Philly Style gave me permission to cover the party that they were holding in her honor at the Philadelphia Flower Show. However, my invitation was later withdrawn.

When I asked for an explanation from my contact at Philly Style, she wrote back, "You are on our list. Tory Burch’s group had final approval for the media.  I apologize. Have a great day!"

In 2010, I wrote a disparaging post about Tory Burch's philanthropy. In reviewing the tax returns for the Tory Burch foundation, I found that Burch actually donated about $300,000 to the foundation despite being worth $600 million. Even worse, $237,000 of that money was for expenses. Only $30,000 was available for grants to Accion USA. 

Apparently, the ice queen never forgives. Her support of female entrepreneurs does not extend to female bloggers.
